„BEER TROPHY“ AUSTRIAN OPEN ASSOCIATION CROQUET 2012

24th to 26th of August 2012
Games will commence on Friday morning and will end on Sunday afternoon.

The lawns are located at a golf course (www.roemergolf.at) approx. 15km outside north east from Salzburg City.

It became a tradition that the player’s field of the Austrian Open is a great mixture of each level. There have been always A-Class, B-Class and even C-Class players who all just enjoy playing Croquet at a different location.

10-12 players in 2 groups; single AC games (advanced rules) in block games, double banked, time limit 2,5h. The best two of each group will go into semi final and final which will be best of 3 games if time allows. The rest will play in an Egyptian plate event.

People landing at Salzburg Airport will be certainly picked up. Transportation from the hotel to the venue will be also arranged.
There are more or less regular direct flights from London to Salzburg with British Airways, Air Berlin, Germanwings and RyanAir. Munich Airport can be used as well, which is less than a 2 hours drive and where a shuttle service directly to the hotel would be available for a reasonable charge (MunicAirport - Hotel - MunicAirport for 91
€).

There is plenty to see: Salzburg City, museums, music, mountains and lakes. www.salzburg.info
We will try to organize some sightseeing for the non-players or whoever likes. Mutual dinners will be arranged. One dinner might be at
Klaus’ place.
